Hello! I am so thrilled to be the teacher of KA (Kitten Class) and KB (Puppy Class). I live here in Sherwood Park with my husband and our 3 children. Our 18 year old twin daughters graduated from SCA in June and they are both attending University in Edmonton. Our son will be in Grade 10 this year at SCA. As a family, we love visiting the mountains, going on adventures together and seeing new places. I've been a teacher for 25 years and have been blessed to have such a fulfilling career. Although I have taught some special education as well as Grade 1-5, most of my teaching experience has been in Kindergarten- it is the best place to be! I made a big leap in my teaching journey last year when I joined the team at Strathcona Christian Academy. It is so wonderful to be part of this amazing school!
It is truly a blessing to be able to support students in their academic journey while guiding them in Christ-centered education that will help them know Jesus and pursue a life of following Him. What a privilege it is to be able have daily devotions, prayer and study bible verses as we learn together.
Kindergarten is such an exciting time in a child's development. It is a beautiful stage of growth in skills that will provide the building blocks for future learning. As children start their formal school years, it is so important to have communication between home and school. The collaboration between parents/caregivers with school staff and teachers is so very important for a child's successful school year. I appreciate hearing from parents and value your support.
